I met with members of our Epic team recently as we need a way to document IP education and the distribution of resources, e.g. car seats, gun locks, bike helmets, etc. I am hoping you all will be willing to share Epic flowsheets, smart phrases, etc. that you use at your health system to make your job easier. Please feel free to forward this message to others you know who may be of help.

A little about me and what I do inside the walls of AnMed. We are an acute care hospital. Level 3 trauma. Kids Care (urgent care center). Numerous physician practices.

CPS programs available through ED (MVC car seat replacement/education), Mom/Baby (CPS consults/education/car seat distribution), Kids Care (CPS education/MVC car seat replacement), AnMed Therapy-Pediatrics (special need fittings, CPS education/distribution), and referrals from physician practices for CPS questions and car seat needs.

I also have a very active safe sleep program that works the same way, specifically in the ED and the physician practices. Safe sleep consults, education and pack ‘n play with bassinet feature distributions.

Finally, very recently I have added a 3-drawer sterilite container to physician practices that contain cabinet latches/locks, gun locks and medication safety boxes/Rx locking caps. These items can be distributed via the physician as he/she deems appropriate.

I need help on the Epic end. I have the programs in place internally but there has to be a better way to track them. Thank you!
