Jessica Ritter

Jessica Ritter (she/they) is a Certified Nonprofit Professional who has been working to improve public health in Pennsylvania for the past eight years. As the Safe Kids Pennsylvania State Office Coordinator, Jessica works to foster strong collaborative relationships, coordinate resource development and distribution, and provide support and technical assistance to almost 20 groups across the Commonwealth that strive to prevent unintentional childhood injuries. Jessica began their career focusing on domestic and sexual violence prevention, education, and response, and continued that commitment to survivors and community members by serving in a variety of leadership positions on the Board of the YWCA Gettysburg & Adams County for 6 years, including 3 years as President. She holds a master’s degree in religious studies and commits herself to continuing her learning by participating in various trainings, fellowships, and professional associations, including the Safe States Alliance’s Policy Fellowship (2021-2022). Jessica is passionate about promoting the principles of DEI and dismantling the systems that uphold inequities experienced by historically marginalized communities. They currently serve as an active member of the Safe States Alliance’s Anti-Racism and Health Equity Working Group and work to prioritize health equity throughout the work of Safe Kids Pennsylvania.
