Pam began working as the Safe Kids Columbus Coordinator in 1998 during her tenure with Public Health until she retired in 2015. In 2017, she joined the team at Piedmont Columbus Regional, the new lead agency for Safe Kids Columbus, GA. She is a team member in the Community Trauma Department and serves as the Executive Director of Safe Kids Columbus and the Chairman for the Adult Injury Prevention (A-TIP) Regional Committee. Pam has nearly 30 years’ experience working in Public Health with an emphasis on Injury Prevention, Public Information/Media Relations, Risk Communication and Environmental Health. During her time with Public Health, Pam assisted the Emergency Preparedness Program which included a CDC Grant, serving as the Ebola Readiness Planner for West Central Georgia. Pam holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from Columbus State University. She has actively maintained her certification as a Child Passenger Safety Technician since 2000. She serves on the Columbus State University Communication Department’s Advisory Board and the Bicycle Columbus Board, she is the Kiwanis Club of Columbus Past President, leads the Safe Kids Advisory Council and River Safety Committee. She has been married to her high school sweetheart since 1984, has one daughter who is an elementary school teacher.
