Petra has been in injury prevention since 2007 when she became a nationally certified child passenger safety technician. Shortly after, she joined Safe Kids Florida Suncoast in Sarasota County. Petra joined the team at Johns Hopkins All Children’s, lead agency for Safe Kids Florida Suncoast, in 2011. Petra served as the Occupant Protection Safety Coordinator and  became Safe Kids Supervisor for the five county coalition in 2015. Petra continues to lead the coalition to decrease unintentional injuries in Pinellas, Manatee, Sarasota, Polk, and Pasco.
